This is a neighbourhood with a Portuguese heart.

Olival do Sal is born in an expanding urban context, yet it keeps a close connection to the countryside fields typical of the surrounding Alentejo landscape and to the sense of community we can still find in rural areas.

It welcomes all.
It welcomes connections.
It welcomes conversations.
It welcomes new ideas.

This new neighbourhood welcomes everyone who stays here with the warm hospitality so characteristic of good neighbours accustomed to living the spirit of a small village.

Within easy reach of Lisbon as well as the increasingly appealing Alentejo coast (Comporta, Troia, and Melides), it comprises three main buildings inspired by the vernacular architecture of the region. It features bright white lime walls and terracotta-tiled roofs, intertwined with bougainvillea and wisteria, plants so characteristic of Portuguese homes.

The vegetation along the walking paths and throughout the surrounding area is composed of native species familiar to the locals: olive trees, mastic trees, strawberry trees, pine trees, oaks, rockroses, lavender, rosemary, and thyme, among others. This will create a natural connection between the buildings and the existing fields that surround them. Additionally, an olive grove with trees neatly arranged in rows has been planted to enhance the space's visual and scenic interest.
